OUR HISTORY
DISCOVER OUR JOURNEY AND SEE HOW OUR DEDICATION
HAS SHAPED US INTO THE COMPANY WE ARE TODAY
YEARS 1886-1945
In 1886, C. Loesch founded an iron foundry and machinery factory in Opole named "Oppelner Maschinenfabrik und Eisengiesserei von C. Loesch." The facility was originally located on today’s Kołłątaja Street (then Oppeln). In 1927, the factory was relocated to Niemodlińska Street, where it still stands today. The plant produced cast iron parts, as well as machinery and equipment for the cement, paper, and bulk material transport industries, with a workforce that reached up to 150 employees during the peak of its development.
YEARS 1945-1988
After World War II, in 1945, the city of Opole returned to the map of Poland, and the company became state-owned. In 1959, it was renamed "Zakłady Mechaniczne Przemysłu Materiałów Ogniotrwałych Ofama w Opolu" (Mechanical Works of the Refractory Materials Industry Ofama in Opole). During this time, the company experienced significant growth, with new buildings constructed, more modern machinery and equipment installed, and an expanded product range introduced.
By 1980, the number of employees had increased to 800, including 30 experienced and skilled engineers.
YEARS 1989-1990
Due to economic changes, the state-owned company "Zakłady Mechaniczne Ofama" was significantly impacted by the negative effects of the political transformation.
YEAR 2002
The company was privatized, allowing it to continue its operations and grow under a new name.
YEARS 2002-2012
Building on decades of experience and leveraging the knowledge of our team, which included both skilled designers and production workers, the new company adopted a strategy focused on developing, designing, and manufacturing modern vibration equipment. At the same time, the company took on a fitting name: "Ofama VIBRA Opole" Sp. z o.o.
Thanks to the dedication of our team, the new company expanded the range and improved the quality of its offered machinery and equipment. We began delivering not just individual machines but also complete solutions and technological lines. Many former clients of ZM Ofama trusted us, knowing that despite the name change, they could still rely on our quality and reliability. Over the ten years since the establishment of the new company, we have helped hundreds of businesses from various industries achieve production success.
YEARS 2012-2023
In April 2012, Ofama VIBRA Opole joined the ranks of international members of the KMC Global group. KMC Global is an American group of manufacturing companies operating globally, bringing together enterprises that produce machinery and equipment for material transport and processing.
As a member of KMC Global, the company received substantial support, both in engineering expertise and capital. Simultaneously, the company's name was changed to "OVIBRA."
OVIBRA products align perfectly with those of HAPMAN, another member of the KMC Global Europe group. Both brands offer reliable systems for managing, transporting, and processing bulk and solid materials, enabling the design and execution of complete production lines, which allows us to offer comprehensive solutions to our clients.
OVIBRA products combine decades of experience with modern know-how gained from our partners at KMC Global. Thanks to this, we are able to design, manufacture, and deliver machines that embody both American quality and Polish precision.
2024 - NOW
At the end of 2024, OVIBRA underwent a rebranding, introducing a new logo and a refreshed visual identity. This transformation also included the launch of a new, more user-friendly website, designed to better showcase our products and services. The rebranding reflects our commitment to innovation and evolving to meet the needs of our customers in an ever-changing industry landscape.
KMC Global announces that, as part of Sub-measure 1.1.1 of the Operational Program Smart Growth 2014-2020, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, it is implementing a project entitled: The World's First Lightweight Anti-Resonance Vibratory Conveyor ZERO-Impact.
